Current Status

Compton Land is currently in a joint venture with Macob Projects Limited to develop this site and adjoining sites with a total area of 34 acres (14 hectares), mainly for occupation by the University of South Wales. The draft master plan for the University expansion includes student accommodation, a conference centre, student recreation facilities, a research centre and academic facilities of various sizes.

The University have identified a requirement for 500 additional student bed accommodation. Given the complexities involved in land assembly, infrastructure, university funding and obtaining planning permission, it is unlikely that construction will commence in the next couple of years.
